Our grand daughters Emma and Kayla

Marvin and I took a couple of days off work so we could spend time with the family.  We first went up to our daughters Jennifer's house.  That evening we went to our granddaughter Emma s band concert.
Emma plays the clarinet.  She is in 5th grade.  She has only been playing since the beginning of the school year.  There were a mixture of students from all the elementary schools in the area along with the middle and high school....
What a joy it was to her play her clarinet....I was so impressed.  She looks so grown up

The next day we headed to our son Jeremy's house.  We were able to go to our grand daughter Kayla's school and watch her play the Taiko drums.  She is also a 5th grader.

She is in the red shirt. What a show.  Our seats were vibrating.  I am so happy we were able to attend.  These kids had only learned the drums in one week.

Later that evening we were able to sit outside by the fire, roast marshmallows and listen to Kayla play guitar (there was a little singing going on too! )

We are so blessed by our grandchildren and children.

Emma surely looks like she really enjoys playing her clarinet!

I can only imagine the sound and feel of the drums! Kayla looks like she is having a great time!

What an enjoyable time you have had. We have had too with 3 birthdays within one week!
Glad you are blogging again, Susan
