First day in Kansas

We were so excited to get to go to Kansas and watch our 5 year old grandson Logan and 8 year old granddaughter so their parents could go to a wedding in Ohio in which our son in law Matt was a groomsman.

They had had so much snow and just got done with the second round of the snow.

Holly ran us to the airport at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.  Our flights were on time.  Our leg to Denver was on time.  While we were waiting for our boarding I noticed several TSA officers in our area and then a K9 sniffing every ones bags.  The man sitting a few seats from us was the issue.  The dog sat after he smelled his backpack and was rewarded and the TSA moved in.  Not sure of what it was although we thing he had drugs.  I am just glad it all happened before we got in the plane.

Upon arriving at the Kansas City airport there was at least a foot of snow on the ground and it was 28 degrees.  It was so cold.  Soon we were in their car and chatting away so great to be on the ground.

of course Jennifer and Matt are huge Oregon Duck Football fans.
of course we had to meet Autzen the newest member of the family 9 month old 40 pound puppy
and he did welcome me

and he liked to have his picture taken

Papa settled in with Emma and Logan

This is just a small glimpse of the wonderful time we had.

We haven't had snow, but it's been cold enough for my solar water panels to run water all night several nights! One morning the water that ran out was frozen on the roof!

At the airport, that must have been a scarey moment when the K-9 dog detected something! Praise GOD it wasn't a bomb!

What a cute dog Autzen is! My, 40 pounds and only 9 months old! He's going to be a big adult dog! He loves his humans! That's good. He'll be a good protector!

I know you are looking for a warmer spring, I know I am, ha!
Love to you and yours, Susan
