Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful that we had an opportunity to visit Hazel one of  the shut ins from church.  We were saddened to hear of her passing this last week at the age of 98.  She was our favorite to visit and she loved the Lord.  We were able to witness it through her stories.  We took her the Lords supper and prayed with her too.   The lord blessed us when he put Hazel on our journey.

I am thankful that last weekend I did not get hurt very badly when I took the dog out in the pouring rain at 3:30 in the morning and slipped on the wet deck.  I thought I was being careful.   I am thankful that I willed myself to get up and tell myself I did not hurt.

I am thankful for the Diaconate team at Church letting me sit and watch since I was limping after my fall a few hours earlier.

I am thankful for the Christian Radio stations K Love and The Message.  I listen to The Message when I drive and K Love while I work.  I get so inspired when I hear the songs.

I am thankful I got a Christmas Card Tuesday from a dear friend that lived next door to us when we lived back in Nebraska.  Her letter was full of tragedy and despair with her family issues and she definitely needs my prayers.

I am thankful for the nice man at the gas station earlier this week.  When I accidently rolled down the back window he played along and was very kind.  He was interesting too but I felt like he was asking too many questions about where I worked.  I think he meant well because he said you go to work early so you must get off early too right?  And then he said I suppose you have off weekends.  He told me I was very lucky to have those hours.  I am thankful for good work hours and a good job.

I am thankful that I have Dental insurance even though I am going to be having more dental work done and more out of pocket expenses again this year.

I am thankful for my baby Einstein.  At 3 he is still very active.  His favorite thing to do when I am home on my lunch break is trying to get my attention.  He runs fast and then will stop in front of me to see if I am paying attention or he will shake one of his toys and growl.  I can’t help but laugh.

I know what you mean. I have a friend, Ellen who is the mom of my previous principal who is 96 (I think) she is so precious.

I pray all stays okay with the fall you had. Sometimes symptoms will not show up until weeks or months later. I'm so thankful you didn't break any bones.

Isn't it wonderful to have these stations on the air. Its great to hear songs about our GOD as we prepare for the day!

I pray the LORD to work His will for your friend's tragedy and despair to turn out for His best to everyone involved.

Warning flags go up with me when I'm approached in the manner the man at the gas station approached you. When he got that personal in "questioning" it was good you were quick to end it before something could have gone wrong.

Praise the LORD for the care we receive!

Einstein's telling you, "I'm ready to play, mom!" I'm so glad he doesn't get separation anxiety! Dolly gets it if I come in and go back out again. I usually come home to find she has chewed or torn up something!

I like your new page! I need to do something with mine. I just haven't taken the time. I'm so glad my picture browser is allowing me to download pictures again without having to go through the HTML. Thank you for sharing that info with me, Janet!

Love to you and yours, Susan

Hi Janet, I'm sorry you have what I have-I would suggest Muscinex DM if you can take over the counter drugs-it has helped my cough not get bad. I love your gratitude list dear one! You have such a heart for our Lord and He cherishes you Janet. You bless me when you visit.
Hugs tonight, Noreen
