Our Christmas Festivities

Our Christmas Festivities started with the candlelight Christmas Eve service at Church.  We heard the most beautiful voices and heard an annual violin solo of O Holy Night.  I was not feeling really well so we skipped the ride to look at Christmas lights.  We got home and started to packing the my SUV for the trip to Portland on Christmas Morning.
Before we left on Christmas morning our daughter Jennifer called and told us about the their morning with Santa's gifts and tons of presents to open from the family.
We headed out early it was about 7:15 with a packed SUV including the dog, a TV, the roaster oven, an ice chest, our overnight bags, stockings and all the presents.  It was a nice drive up I-5

We arrived and unloaded all the gifts. We visited and had some coffee, got the ham started and waited or Holly and Ricky because the kids were ready to open the gifts. The girls also anxiously showed us all their gifts that they had already opened. We let the girls start with the annual ornament that they get from us. This year we found all 4 grand kids a snow globe personalized ornament the lights up. Below is Kayla showing us hers.
and then the girls started the opening the gifts

and then it was everyone else's turn

One of the gifts we got for Morgan seemed to be a hit with us all.  In fact Kayla played the keyboard while Aunt Holly, Uncle Ricky, Nana and Papa all joined in the song of the 12 days of Christmas.

After the opening of the gifts we were able to skype to Georgia and talk to Grand kids Emma and Logan and watch Jenifer make some yummy appetisers and talk to Matt.

Then it was time to eat some ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans and bacon and salad.

What a wonderful day full of family and all our blessings.
