Day One - Love is patient-Book The Love Dare

I think that we are actually going to have to turn the days into chapters as we have decided not to move forward to the next day until we have succeeded on the particular task. So today is Love is Patient. The dare was to "resolve to demonstrate patience and say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If temptation arises, choose not to say anything" We flunked this morning.

The scripture that goes with this dare is: (1 Thessalonians 5:15 (King James Version)
"See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men."

So we are rereading the chapter again and trying for tomorrow. We both work all day so the challenge will be when we get home. Marvin gets home first and by the time I get home I am so tired and just want peace. So tomorrow actually will be a real test for me. I have been praying for patience for a long time.

Hi Janet,
So pleased to meet you and so happy you came by to visit and become a follower. So neat you are doing the love dare book and that you saw Fireproof. Wasn't that the most moving movie you have ever seen??
We just loved it, and we taught a Sunday School class on it, and it was really neat. We have been happily married for 39 yrs. this past November! Course, we have had our challenges just like everyone else, especially before we were committed to the Lord, in fact, that is what the Lord used at our 10 year mark to get us moving in the right direction, we
were Christians but we really didn't know what we were suppose to do with it.
That is so great you have been happily married for 30 years and that yall are still working on your marriage, we could not agree more, too many people think they can just sleep on the job!! Never works, cause a good solid marriage takes lots of work, course, If you have been married 30 years, you know that!!
Well, hope to visit again soon,
Thanks so much for coming by,
and so glad you love my blog.
that was so encouraging.
Have a great evening,
Blessings, Nellie
