A green thumb I am not

I love my tulips but they really need a transplant. I hope to get it done this fall. I have had a few blooms but it looks like the wind got to them today.

Busy day

Today has been a busy day with Church, grocery shopping and house cleaning. The highlight of my day is when Emma called and asked if I wanted to Skype. We initially had technical problems on both ends but ended up getting to see and talk to Emma, Logan and Jennifer. Emma really didn't want to talk but she sang the Emma song and Logan was a busy boy and wanted to have mommy chase him. I am so truly blessed and had a joyful day.

A Sleepover with Nana and Papa

Kayla and Morgan spent all day yesterday, last night and most of the day today with Nana and Papa so their mommy and daddy could go to K.Falls looking for housing. The girls were very good. Activies included: painting, a walk with Max, papa teaching Kayla how to play checkers, fun games on Quest Dental on the computer, the girls getting to sleep with Nana, relaxing outside in the nice weather. Whew....what a fun time we had but Nana is drained.

Easter 2009

I am a little behind on my postings. Last week was Easter. Marvin and I served at the Church all morning and came home and fixed lunch to be enjoyed by Holly & Ricky, Jeremy, Sara. Kayla and Morgan. We had an Easter egg hunt indoors because of the weather and the girls had fun finding all the eggs (49). It was a hard day on me because skype was not working well and I didn't get to visit with Jennifer, Emma and Logan. It was so hard to have joy in the moment and I blew it.

29 years ago April 11, 1980

Finally that's all I can say. I was due on March 24, 1980. Back then they did not do ultrasounds so we did not know what we were having although I really wanted a girl. Well I got what I wanted a beautiful baby girl Jennifer Lynn born at 9:29 p.m. April 11th weighing in at 7 pounds 8.5 ounces and 20 inches long. Mom and Dad were just crazy in love with their new little girl. Happy Birthday Jennifer we love you!

I made the Climb

Yesterday Marvin and I attempted the Mt. Pisgah climb again. It was a cool morning and I was planning on making it. Marvin was not as patient with me as Holly was last week. I really enjoyed the hike. The elevation is 15oo feet and I MADE IT TO THE TOP. I plan to hike up now regularly.

A day with Kayla and Morgan

Kayla and Morgan are going to be moving soon and what better way to spend some time with Nana and Papa. We baked cookies, played old maid, watched an animal show and just had a good time. Aunt Holly and her dogs were here also.

Hiking Mt Piscah

Oregon has many beautiful parks and place to hike. Mt Piscah is really close. So Marvin and Holly have this great idea that we should hike it yesterday. The hike is 1.4 miles all up hill. I made it .6 to the bench. The view was beautiful but I kept having to stop and get my breath. Holly was so good to wait with me while Marvin went a few steps ahead. I almost passed out once and another time I almost lost my balance. Marvin and Holly went today and said that the view from the top is awesome. I will make it this year (My Goal)
