This picture was probably taken in about 1963. I may be off on that date but I look to be about 4. From left to right, Joyce Elaine, Janet Marie (me) and Joan Elizabeth. We are all in matching dresses.
I found little gifts for Valentines to send to New York for Emma and Logan and mailed it out the Wednesday before Valentine's day priority mail (17.00). The package should have arrived on Saturday but they did not get it until Tuesday because of the Monday Holiday. Emma Ann loved her new book and locket (just like Kayla's) a coloring book and candy. Logan at one could not wait for his mom to get his new truck out of the package. He is all boy. He also got some candy and a coloring book. I am happy both kids loved their new gifts. I even stuck a little heart pad of paper in the box for mommy so she could enjoy a little Valentine too.
We were able to deliver Valentines to Kayla and Morgan on Valentines day. Kayla had a new book with a heart locket, coloring book and candy while Morgan had a new book, coloring book and stuffed animal. Kayla being 5 was so excited and wanted Nana to read her the new book and put on her locket. Morgan on the other hand did not want her stuff and she tried to put it back in my purse to take home. She did not want me to read her new book to her either. At 2 she definitely developing her own personality and on Valentines she did not want to be with her Nana and Papa. We did find the joy anyway during the visit.
Okay so I am maybe a little worn out. Morgan decided she did not want to go to bed last night. She kept telling me "no" . It was 10:00 before she settled down. She is not afraid of the dark either because she kept getting out of bed wondering around the house. During the night she sat up and and said "nana" and went right back to sleep. Kayla was an angel like usual and Morgan was a very good girl until bedtime. I had to wake her up at 8:00 so we missed the first church service. Jeremy called to check in at 7:15 and told me to bring Morgan home before church. Yesterday afternoon we enjoyed watching Mary Poppins with some Jiffy Pop Popcorn. The movie was so long the girls watched some of it and played the rest of the time. So I would say that it was a wonderful weekend at Nana and Papas.
We had a great time of family time when we went to Vancouver Friday and Saturday night to spend with Ricky and Holly. We played pictionary which I am so bad at but had fun. We also played Rumicube and I won. We went for a walk at 11 am on Saturday morning in the 35 degree foggy weather at Officers Row. I was whining the whole time but we got in at least a mile. Ricky and Holly are awesomes cooks and we had so yummy food.
